Game - Blood Dungeon Dev - Messhof Price Paid - £8.18 Date - 15-09-2026 Steam Edit: ~ club notes Blood Dungeon was a bunch of fun and I highly recommend it for folk who enjoy “vampire survivor likes” it being a chaos side-scroller / splunkey “rogue lite” was a nice addition to the formula. after ~4 hours I unlocked a bunch of character and beat a load of first wave and a few second wave bosses.

The moment to moment gameplay was good because pinball is a fun, the nudge to save a doomed ball was a great addition, but I found the bosses and quests in the game uninteresting at best and incredibly grindy towards the end of a run. ...

THis game is the gold standard in pacing, every time I think they are done introducing a new mechanic / spectacle they drop something else that is even cooler than before. The moment to moment gameplay is absolutely sublime, I keep on getting punished for trying to beat a level in a single combo / score streak but when I fail its all good I get to do the sick combos and grinds again I’m somehow not even mad a truly rare experience.

With that preface out of the way I had a really enjoyable time playing The Dreams in the Peacock House. It was a short and sweet point and click adventure game with good writing, fun set pieces / mini puzzles and memorable characters. Well worth playing, looking forward to seeing what they make in the future.

Game - LUCKROT Dev - OptiCube Price Paid - £3.67 Date - 15-05-2026 Steam Game - Ignore the Blackbird Dev - Mimir Games Price Paid - £5.59 Date - 15-05-2026 Steam Edit: ~ club notes I enjoyed my time with LUCKROT the movement, gunplay & game-loop was really great, but the AI & enemy variety could do with some work. The winning strategy was mostly circle strafe until enemies die. Some predictive shots from enemies would go a long way. Enemy combinations should provide a obstacle to overcome where I must/should priorities certain enemy types in a pack. I would love to see more diversity in enemies and arenas I didn’t get around to playing Ignore the Blackbird this month due to moving house.
