PROTOTYPING PUZZLES

FINALLY SOME USE FOR THE WHITEBOARD I'VE BEEN HOARDING

Pre-Process

After deciding on the mechanics, it was time to start designing the puzzles in the game. Although the game is obviously digital, it is much quicker to design something with a pen and paper, or in our case a big whiteboard. With multiple colours of pens in our hand, we set an evening aside to design a finite set of puzzles that we could use to represent the extent of the mechanics, whilst also presenting a range of challenges to the player. From this design session we came away with 3 things

project name

  1. A completed set of puzzles/ levels that could be made into a game
  2. A list of all of the objects that we would need to make, which would also be provided to the animators
  3. A overwhelming drive to build the game that we had designed.
